Midfielder Mark Davies is set to miss tonight’s Championship clash at Doncaster, Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman has revealed.
The 26-year-old has missed the last two matches against Wigan and Huddersfield after limping off with a groin problem in the home win against Blackpool last month, though illness kept him out of the derby against the Latics.
The Whites boss had hoped he would be okay for the weekend win at Huddersfield but revealed afterwards they made a decision not to include him after he trained on the morning of the game.
And it does not look like he will figure again tonight in the second of a triple header against Yorkshire clubs.
Freedman said: “Mark will still be missing.
“He has a slight groin problem that we won’t rush him back from because it needs to be right.”
