Mason's last game for us today. Hope he marks the occasion with a goal.

Only 6 starters?
There's confidence for you.

The lineup's more like it for me, time to experiment now we're safe. Although I would have preferred to see Juke and Beckford up front.

That looks like a reality check line up. Seems like Dougie finally feels we have enough points and has turned his attention to next season and is trying to find out who to keep and who to dump.

After that, Trotter, Moritz and Baptiste can go as far as I'm concerned.wanderlust wrote:That looks like a reality check line up. Seems like Dougie finally feels we have enough points and has turned his attention to next season and is trying to find out who to keep and who to dump.

After today's results we are mathematically safe i.e. we can't be caught. Hurrah!
As Boro beat Burnley, it's unlikely we can move further up the table either.
So now there is no reason whatsoever not to start the remaining 4 games with the pick of the U21s and U18s to give them experience, have a look if any of them are in with a chance of making the first team next season and set up the summer transfer policy accordingly.
I hope Dougie has the balls to do it.

My decision to wear my replica jersey to work today has been validated.

What a shit game. I think some of our players are already on their holidays. I thought Moritz was dreadful and what on earth is Baptiste up to these days? Another penalty given away and he needs to sort himself out rapidly.
I'm just glad for the 3 points, Barnsley were very poor and no doubt they will go down.

"What a shit game."
I think you're being generous there.
It was a dire bore-fest and if I'd paid thirty quid to watch that, I'd be asking for a refund.
Utter garbage played out by two teams who seemed genuinely incapable of creating anything exciting.

Today was just more evidence that Freedman wants sacking.
I can't believe what turgid work we made of beating the league's crappest team at home.
In the end, there was very little in it. They had at least two glorious chances, not including the penalty. They were unlucky not to get a point, despite the claptrap Dougie will invariably come out with in his interview.
I'm not sure what was experimental about the line up. What have we learnt from the match that we didn't already know?
We certainly already knew that Baptiste isn't a left back, and boy didn't he remind us. All is definitely not well between him and Freedman, judging from the Knight substitution.

Yet another master class by Dumb Fuck in how not to manage a football club, the only thing he got right today was substituting the two poorest players on the pitch, ut he did that 80 minute's too late!!!!!!!

I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life today. I chose BWFC over Chorley.
Never, ever again.
The football under Megson was Brazilian in style compared to the shite under Dougie. Trotter & Baptiste - have we ever had to worse footballers?
I can't believe we're going to have to endure at least another season of this utter crap.

I'm sure three wins on the trot looks great at 5pm on the full time scores.
