Just in case there is any doubt about the sweepstake taking place, I will underwrite the competition.
What I mean is that if necessary I will buy up any unsold teams when the deadline expires and they will be entered into the sweep as 'Bolton Nuts' teams - meaning if they win the money will go to the site rather than me personally.
I would be more than delighted for all the teams to be taken long before the deadline - thats why we are running the competition anyway - but if need be any unsold teams will be bought up and the sweepstake will go ahead.
It is now only 9 days to go to the big kick off, so come on and get your teams and join in the fun!
Remember - you have to be in it to win it!
(It's only a couple of quid and the site makes nothing out of it, so come on and join in - you know you want too!).

I'm not having that because it's not fair on you.
I suggest that if we've still got a few teams left a couple of days before it all kicks off, you tell us how many and we can pick them up between us.
If there are still any left after that, then you can buy them if you like, but I don't see why you should have to stump up for (possibly) about twenty teams.
Just doesn't seem fair (and it's a bit of an indictment of the rest of us, given how many members this site has.....)

If we don't have enough entrants then people will be given the chance to buy a 2nd team.

Thanks Bread.
It's not really that big of a deal for me as I put money into the site in one way or another anyway but this competition is more about getting people involved in a little bit of fun, so obviously I'd rather people fully buy out all the teams remaining rather than me having to act as some sort of a safety net to ensure the sweepstake goes ahead.
I don't want to step on anyones toes about running the sweep but I suggest that seeing time is getting close to the big kick off (next week!) and that so few teams have so far gone, that we immeadiately allow people to have a maximum of three teams each (for now) and review things again at the weekend.
Would that be ok with you BTID?

I've set a deadline of Saturday for people to enter, after that people can buy a 2nd team. Then if we are still short, we'll open it to a 3rd team. Are you entering Sluffy?

I'm happy to buy more, and get involved with buying up any left over. Just don't let other buggers do it without me.

Thanks BTID.
I'll wait until the very end and buy up any teams that are left - taking one for myself and entering any others in the name of the site - although I would be more than happy if we sold out long before that happening!

I'm going to use bribery and underhand tactics to make sure I get a decent team.
