Given that Liverpool spent all last season playing a game based round the pace up front provided by Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling, I can't see where Lambert's going to fit in.
Which leads me to think he's been bought as a bench-warmer, who Rodgers can sling on for the last ten minutes if Liverpool need to start lumping it into the box because they're desperate for a goal. (Like they were against Chelsea at home.)
£4m is cheap enough, I suppose, so it's not like when they signed Andy Carroll.
