With what has happened with Muamba recently it's sad to see this time a player hasn't been as lucky as Fabrice.

Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini has died after collapsing on the pitch in Saturday's Serie B match at Pescara, with the match abandoned after 31 minutes.

Morosini, 25, was rushed to hospital after medical staff attended to him on the pitch for a suspected heart attack. The game was then called off with the other players leaving the field in tears.

"He suffered a cardiac arrest. Unfortunately he was already dead when the ambulance arrived. He never regained consciousness," announced Doctor De Blasi.

RIP Morosini

Yeah, saw that. Really unfortunate, but I suppose there are worse ways to die.

R.I.P. Morosini.

Dying of a heart attack at 25 isn't close to the top of anyone's list of great ways to die Keegan. Have you considered how distressing it must have been for his family and friends?

Anyway, may he rest in peace.

LargeHat, as the chief data miner on here, how often has this sort of thing happened, i.e. people have died in sport at a national or club level?

Come now, largehat - surely my reference to dying while doing something you love wasn't lost on someone as gifted as you are. I would never trivialize either dying or a heart attack.

Large Hat, my question was a fair one. I assumed that most, if not all, your replies to questions were from you checking up somewhere, rather than your own knowledge. Seems I was wrong, sorry.

Well if you'd made any reference to it, it wouldn't have been lost on me. Even Stephen Hawking needs something to go off.

Bloody hell, that's what you meant by data mining. Harsh. I'm getting some grief today. Don't hate me for being special.

Why hasn't our game against Swansea been called off?

Why not ask your mole? Let us know what he says. I'm sure we're all wondering the same thing.

It is. When Muamba was at death's door the outpouring of grief was ridiculous, but people on here said it would be the same whoever went down. So I'm asking those people why aren't they on here in tears demanding football be cancelled.

A footballer dies playing football. I say there are worse ways to die. You don't see the connection? Maybe asking me what I meant instead of making an assumption would have been a good idea? In any case, my condolences to his family and friends - as well as my sympathies to those who witnessed this very distressing occurrence.

What are you getting menstrual about Keegan? You think there are worse ways to die than doing something you love (fair point), I think there are better ways to die than of a sudden heart attack at 25 with your loved ones watching on. I can see your point, do we have to all hold hands and agree on everything?

Come on Natasha stop trying to be a WUM, no other team called there game off for us when Muamba had a heart attack so why should we do it for Livorno.
