Awesome save by Al Habsi, what a £2m keeper.

Sick of these big clubs f@cking things up for us.

I don't remember them playing like this against Shitty.

Wigan are good mind. I wish we had Victor Moses. Oh actually it wouldn't make a difference as Coyle would never play him.

We should have kept him for his impeccable time-wasting abilities, if nothing else.

It makes you wonder why the hell they're where they are. They do this every year.

It's been a while since I saw an English team do that much timewasting mind!

Did anyone notice that Wenger didn't shake Martinez's hand at the end ? Very disrespectful. You can't fault Wigan's effort and will to win. They are a credit to the north west. The southern jessies should hang their heads in shame. Gunners ? My arse has fired a better salvo than that performance tonight.

Interesting assessment from Wenger post match:

"We started well..."

Fair play to Wigan and Martinez.

Martinez had clearly thought through how he wanted to set the team up after a dire first half to the season, identified who he needed to bring in (the S American from Birmingham) and got him in January.

Wigan went with 3 at the back from then out, playing with wing backs - and they have reaped the benefits.

Compare that with Coyle who had a dire first half of the season playing 4-4-2 and continued to play it throughout the transfer window and beyond and instead of identifying someone to fill the Holden role for the second half of the season, opted instead to buy a striker and then not play him much.

We get what we deserve I suppose.

Hope Wigan stay up now, they deserve too.

My wife has often said that about me when we have a bit of rumpy pumpy.

Wigan are playing like they give a toss, and we aren't (half of them are out of contract in July, what do they care?), but it also comes down to quality.

Wigan have players in midfield that can make it difficult for opposing teams to attack. We don't. A lot of people think ReoCoker does a good job at this but I don't. Not consistently enough anyway.
These midfielders have players ahead of them that are able to not only control and hold up the ball, but to run at opposing defenders with pace and trickery. We don't. Ngog can do the former, but comes up extremely short with the latter.
We don't have a touch of quality in the final third (even Mark Davies has been bollocks in recent weeks) meaning we aren't just struggling to keep the ball, but to do anything useful with it either.
We don't have a reliable means of scoring goals. We even created very little against QPR, Blackburn and Wolves.

I think Wigan deserve every credit. Beating Liverpool at Anfield, United at the DW and Arsenal at the Emirates three matches on the trot is certainly not relegation performance.
