Quintana crashes out.

Contador beating Froome in a Time Trial??

Foome a minute down on a man with a broken leg?!

All over bar the shouting now.

Another 'strange' win for former drug cheat Contador me thinks.

Went to watch the end of stage 2 of the Tour of Britain in Llandudno today.
Those guys go at quite a lick. Surprised me.
Sluffy and Bread might win me over after all.

Hope you do get into it Boncey, it's really interesting if you can.

Punch up on wheels at the Vuleta today (both riders thrown out of the race).

Always the unexpected in cycling - pure theatre!

It was quite a sight. No punch ups though.

It wasn't much of a fight really, more handbags and girly slapping than proper punching.

The Badger would've made mincemeat out of the pair of them.

And then crushed their bikes with his bare hands.......

I'll make sure to avoid him.
I'm sure some mad old bastard in a pair of brown cords and a whites training top getting in his way is unlikely to improve his demeanour.
You may have to hire him to sort out 84,who seems to have taken a proper dislike to you. Or do I mean AD?

You don't mess with Bernard Hinault (aka The Badger.)

That man throws a proper bomb:

They still use him now at the Tour de France to deal with "undesirables".......

Wasn't there a book about him called 'Slaying the Badger'?
Last I heard it was gonna be turned into a movie.

Yeah, although I've not seen it yet.

It's more about Greg LeMond's win in the 1986 Tour, which the Badger said he help with......but didn't.

He repeatedly attacked LeMond and nearly killed him by pushing too hard and LeMond wasn't too chuffed.

Hinault told him to stop moaning and man up.

It would turn out to be Hinault's last Tour.

Just to add to that Le Mond (American despite the name sounding French) and Hinault were team mates and the year before, Le Mond who probably could have won that years Tour, agreed to help Hinault win his fifth Tour - and thus make him the equal all time best rider ever in the Tour (up to that time anyway) on the condition that Hinault would help him the following year.

Hinault obviously thought that it was his last shot of becoming the outright best rider in the Tour ever, so 'attacked' Le Mond - in theory his team leader - at every opportunity he got throughout the race.

Le Mond was the younger and stronger rider by that time and just managed to beat Hinault and become the first English speaking AND non eueopean to win the Tour.

At that time all the cycle teams were very much euro-centric and very much out to stop Le Mond winning - even his own team too!

Le Mond was a great rider and would have won many more Tours - he only won two more - but for the fact that after winning this Tour against Hinault - he accidentally got shot!

I tell you, cycling is like no other sport, you never know what is going to happen next.

If cycling was a film, everyone would think it was too far fethched to be real - but it is!

I could go on and tell you about the amazing fued between Le Mond and Lance Armstrong but that's more to do with the Armstrong 'story' than with Greg himself.

Cost him his business though.
