Footballer jailed for 5 years for Rape!

Ched Evans has today had his appeal rejected. This surprises me.

Some unsavoury things on twitter. including a picture of Ched alongside Mandella with the phrase "innocent yet in prison"

I'm all for footballers being sent to prison, but this case does seem flimsy at best.

It is, apart from this one.

I missed all the posts discrediting my original post on this topic. I maintain that sending a text to someone saying "I've got a bird" where it cannot be proven that the texter didn't have a canary or other form of poultry, and the 'bird' in question ends up having sex with two men when she was clearly not capable of giving permission for same, is rape and intent to rape.

They knew what they were up to. I wonder how they would feel if one of their sisters had suffered the same fate as befell their victim.

I don't understand why Ched Evans, being a footballer for Citeh and Sheff U, would need to rape someone. Plenty of wannabe WAGS would have been throwing themselves at him. I'm not going to say he's innocent, as I really don't know. But I think there is a definately a chance he might not be guilty.

It is not really defending criminals is it. I trust the mods will step in and stop this abuse.
