30 registered users

There are 30 members logged in at present, yet there have only been half a dozen posting any messages in the last hour or so.

This site isn't like reading the Times and Guardian one after the other, so what are they doing?

Is it a case of automatic log in when you switch your computer device on?

Or are they all private messaging each other?

They are all on the Burnley football forums.

My phone keeps me logged in 24/7. Perhaps it's the same for others

My phone only does that ringing and texting stuff. That's what I bought a phone for though. 

Anybody who is 'active' on the site is noted on the list for an hour after their last 'click' on here.

Obviously as a 'forum' we would like people to contribute posts, as it adds to the site and gives others something to read and discuss - but it is not compulsory to do so.

We have regulars who visit the site most days, who have been members for a year and longer, who have seldom posted, if at all.

We do however see breaking news and thread ideas appearing on other forums shortly after some of these visits, so it's not hard to work out who these members are and why they visit here - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and all that.

At the end of the day we all support the same club, it does seem somewhat of a pity to me that we still have some form of inter forum rivalry.  Believe it or not the name of our forum is not permitted to be posted on at least three other BWFC forums - how pathetic is that!?

My belief for what it is worth is if you provide a great site - and I truly believe Nuts is, then you have nothing to fear of losing members to other forums, so no need for censorship of other forums existence such as Burnden Aces, JA606, and The Wanderer (yes the three that you won't see Nuts mentioned on!).

Anyway, we'll just keep continuing doing our best to make Nuts as good as we can make it and let the others worry about keeping their members finding out about us, just in case they like it a whole lot better on here!
