How cut-up is the Wembley pitch, considering England to play on it this coming Saturday afternoon/evening?
Also announced are 3 more NFL games next season and if a game coincides with an England match then the NFL takes precedent, thus England will have to play, probably, at Old Trafford!! Now who owns the ground again???? (oops forgot Gartside is a director at Wembley Stadium, so that explains a lot!)

Just wait 'til we get an NFL franchise based permanently in England.
The UK national soccer team won't be allowed to play at Wembley at all between September and the end of January.
I can't wait!
"Go NFL!" on three.........

I thought that said "Tomados" like how Americans pronounce "tomatoes".
That'd be a far better name for a football team.

Was the flag for defensive pass interference?

Whether you like that sport or not (and I don't) that is brilliant.

Yes.
And unsurprisingly, it was declined by the Giants.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Might as well be written in Chinese. This is one of those sports I just don't understand.wanderlust wrote:Was the flag for defensive pass interference?

What it means is, the guy in the shiny silver helmet shoved the guy in the blue helmet in the back whilst they were both running along waiting for the ball to drop.
That's naughty and isn't allowed, hence why the men in the Newcastle shirts were throwing yellow dusters allover the place.
They (the Geordies) are in charge of spotting fouls, a bit like Linesman in proper football (not to be confused with "Line-men" in the NFL - they're a different thing altogether) and they throw their dusters when the see something illegal going on.
Because the foul was committed by the shiny silver helmets, the blue helmets had the choice whether or not they wanted them to be punished for it but they said "No thanks" because the punishment would have been to disallow the touchdown and give them another go at moving the ball up the field, starting from the one yard line.
This would obviously not have benefited the shiny blue helmets, as they'd already got their ten yards and in fact, had scored a touchdown, hence why they declined to have the penalty enforced.
See....it's quite simple really.
