We shouldn't get too carried away with this and certainly not slag off Villa. It was a great second half performance but we rode our luck and yet agin we could have been buried by half time.
As RT said, 36 points won't be enough so we still have to conjure up a win and a draw, maybe 2 wins from the last 4, so let's just be grateful that the road ahead isn't as bad as it could have been.
Interesting that they were much more willing to shoot in this game, especially the second half. We might have discussed it on here and they may be listening, but all things in balance guys - couldn't believe Eagles having a dip at that free kick from 35+ yards! Whatever, it had the required effect and Villa were far less inclined to press forward in numbers second half. If Miyaichi hadn't started I'd start to believe that the lads are paying attention to our ramblings.

An interesting stat from last nights game. It's the first team this season that we have won having conceded a goal first. Warnock was unlucky for Villa when he hit the crossbar and they SHOULD have been ahead at half time.

Big Eck has got his work cut out to motivate his team because their next three fixtures are no gimmes.

Stop making stuff up, we were 1-0 down at Everton. Are you still pissed?

And Wolves as well, but apart from them 2 matches that fact is 100% correct.

The first 45 minutes was more of the same. Utter, utter shite. The team couldn't string two passes together, and no one wanted to keep the ball. At half-time I took out my king-size bedsheet and wrote 'COYLE OUT' in my blood. Luckily for Coyle it seems he actually did give them a bollocking and, for once, actually changed things by bringing Kevin Davies on.

While we were far from great in the second half we were the better team and some of the players decided to actually pass it rather than hoof it. I thought Eagles had a good second 45 minutes, he really is a danger in the box and Kevin Davies made a big impact - the Villa defence couldn't handle him.

But most importantly it was a fantastic result, and while I still think we're doomed at least we have some hope. And Villa look absolutely awful, if they don't get anything at WBA they are very catchable.

Second half we were brilliant. It just shows that when the players get a half-time grilling they can respond. More of this at Sunderland and we can do this!

WOW!!
That was probably as close to an admission of judgemental fallibility as we are ever going to see in what remains of our miserable BWFC-supporting existences.
Massive respect Natasha!

I will always admit when I am wrong. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to admit I was wrong in predicting our relegation, if we stay up.

We need to get something at Sunderland - if we do that I may start to believe.

We also won having conceded first against Macclesfield in the league cup and Swansea in the FA Cup.

I have thrown my old Abacus out of the window. It's times like this when I start worrying about senile dementia because I was actually at three of those games.

The only consolation I can find is that I was under the influence of alcohol.
