Keep your chin up Breaders. I lost my dad in January to lung cancer. He was just a few weeks short of his 82nd birthday but boy oh boy did he lead a full life. If I live to be 82 it will be a miracle but I don't believe in miracles.
Life is a journey, not a destination.

Cheers, RT.
Sorry to hear about your Dad, mate.
It's fucking rotten, isn't it?
If I get diagnosed like that, I'm going off Barton Bridge with a half-drunk bottle of single malt in my hand and a smile on my face.

Sorry to hear of the rubbish stuff going on in your lives, it sucks. Agree Breaders, it's part of life and you can only control your reaction to crap, not the fact crap happens. It's trite, but the saying which has got me some tough times (risking you laughing at me, but it might resonate with some) 'it'll be alright in the end, if it's not alright, it's not the end' Be happy, chaps.

There's nothing trite about that approach, Manda - it's a great way of looking at things.

Bread.
Everybody can deal with the ups in life, it's the downs that make you. Chin up lad, I've been there and come through it, so can you.

I used to be, as many on here well know.
But I have to admit since I left full time regular work and started contract work I have never felt happier. Yes I have my own sideline business but my regular Monday to Friday is rich and varied and no longer getting into the duldrums of mundane everyday stuff (akin to Groundhog Day)

Now that sounds like the kind of arrangement that would suit me - depends on the contract I guess. You working blocks of time followed by breaks or part-time e.g. 3 days a week?bwfc71 wrote:I used to be, as many on here well know.
