Iain Brunskill takes charge of Wanderers’ development squad for the first time on Tuesday as the young Whites face off against Wigan Athletic.
Having seen Neil Lennon’s side despatch the Latics on Friday night, Brunskill will be eager to replicate the first team’s success ahead of what is the first of two cup clashes between the two clubs in the near future.
Bolton head into the tie at Robin Park off the back of a four-game unbeaten run, having drawn 0-0 at home with Brighton & Hove Albion last week.
Meanwhile, hosts Wigan have not won in over a month, having drawn 3-3 with Tranmere Rovers and lost 5-1 to Port Vale in their last two matches.
Kick-off is at 2pm and tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
