Excellent choice SK, although I have to say that I still prefer the original, (it has good memories).

"Tin Angel"
Joni Mitchell.........Lyrics and music to die for
Joni Mitchell.........Lyrics and music to die for
Varnished weeds in window jars
Tarnished beads on tapestries
Kept in satin boxes are
Reflections of love's memories
Letters from across the seas
Roses dipped in sealing wax
Valentines and maple leaves
Tucked into a paperback
Guess I'll throw them all away
I found someone to love today
Dark with darker moods is he
Not a golden Prince who's come
Through columbines and wizardry
To talk of castles in the sun.
There's a sorrow in his eyes
Like the angel made of tin
What will happen if I try
To place another heart in him....

It wud never have happened if Wilson had his way, and it was massive in USA.

No matter what I do I can't get bored of Tribe. This is my favourite track, great sample used on the beat from Ronnie Foster, Mystic Brew which is also worth a listen

Still the greatest tune ever released. Speakers were made for this record.

Struggling with a single favourite song of all time. In fact I couldn't even have a favourite top 20.
So I'm just putting some songs up that I like.........
I do like xmiles choices though, Cream and Jimi

Just been reminded of Joni's great classic "Both Sides Now", superb in 1969, but raised to new levels of sublime significance in the orchestral updating, as featured in "Love Actually".
Profound yet so simple, creating a universal emotional response, aided by Emma Thompson's terrific portrayal of a mother determined not to cry in front of the children, having discovered that her husband's been unfaithful.

Andy Williams nailed it for me.

Try and get hold of this. His 'Nellie Dean' is sensational.

HP, I was going to post that last night but the gaffer was in my ear!!
It's a great version, in fact I think it's the best of all I've heard. Quite how Young contributed I find hard to decipher?
