That tea says it's nearly time for the big shop and you're running out of stuff. You didn't have enough mini kievs left in the bag did you KP so you had to throw in some chicken nuggets to make up the numbers. I know I'm right. Can I mention lunch? Or dinner as we call it in Lancashire.
So we're having a staff meeting at our house today - me and 6 women as it happens. At 8 this morning I went to the bakers to buy danish for breakfast/coffee and some fresh baguettes and fancy bread then made a tuna/onion/chilli/cucumber/mayo mix and some egg and mayo sandwich filling ready for lunch, as they are quick, they've had this before and liked it.
Morning coffee didn't go well as only one Danish was eaten - by the sparrow who weighs about 6 stone dripping wet. (should I rephrase that?)
Two are on "special diets" and have brought their own lunch.
Two are currently carb-free and will eat the fillings but not the bread.
One is apparently starving herself and doesn't want anything all day - fair enough - her ass is a two-seater.
Leaving the sparrow who is gamely doing her best with the food mountain and me wishing I hadn't bothered to make the effort.
