Had a BBQ in the new house for the first time on Saturday, was immense. Unplanned ones always are.
Had my parents, Mrs Rebels parents and her big brother over, Sun, Lots of Chablis and Beer, Burgers, Sausages, Chicken breast, T bone steaks, Salmon Fillets and baked potatoes. Mrs Rebel was in charge of Salad
Twas truly amazing.
Non of that gas BBQ crap either - cant stand gas ones, I mean what's the point? BBQ'd food should be done over charcoal, end of.
My new next-door neighbour had his all-singing all-dancing gas thing out, mine smelled much better.

I hope it wasn't in new house or Mrs Rebel would be furious I bet!
I agree with using a proper charcoal BBQ as you can't beat the smell plus it adds better flavour to your meat.
I don't see the point of gas BBQ's either, I feel like I might as well grill all the meat on the cooker in the house, it just isn't the same fun.
Apparently gas BBQ sales have been more than traditional coal ones for the first time ever this year!

I built a brick BBQ in our back garden a few years ago and, not being a brickie, it started off level, but by the top course of bricks, it was decidedly on the piss.
The upshot was, if you stuck the sausages on the extreme right hand side, they would roll slowly across the grill and by the time they got to the other side they were perfectly cooked.
No human intervention involved at all.
I can't see why more people don't do it.......

Mixed Grill at the Cock Hotel in Worsley for us tonight.
We weren't sure whether or not to go out, so I offered the wife the option of "Cock for tea, dear?" and she jumped at the chance.
