We have no one signed for next season... so who do you think we should keep or acquire?

Bodgan
Lonergan
Amos (assuming we can get him)
or someone else who is out of contract?

If Neil can get Amos, he'll be our first choice next season. Bogdan played for the U21's yesterday and Lonners will be on the bench today. Neil knows who he likes.

Shame we didn't cash in on Boggers if we're not going to use him. As an international, someone somewhere would have been willing to pay a few bob into our transfer kitty.

Amos as number one would be great but I doubt we'll get him permanently.

Manchester United are stepping up their attempts to sign a new goalkeeper in the January transfer window after telling Ben Amos that he is free to find another club. Amos, 24, has been with the club since the age of 11 and made his debut in a League Cup win over Middlesbrough in 2008, but the last of his seven senior appearances came nearly three years ago. United have told the former England Under 21 international that they will not stand in his way if he receives other offers.

Biggie - You may be on to the best scenario.  I can't see either Bogdan or Lonergan moving on for big money anywhere... so it may be take what they can get here.  Amos has been pretty effective for us, and if Man U has given him an out, I would say he is one who is at a perfect age for us.  It's unfortunately, all about the money though.  Like your way of thinking Biggie!  Now how do we get ALF?

i would sign Amos if we could, he pulled off a couple of great saves yesterday and looks very solid.

I'd certainly see if Amos wants a permanent deal with us but I fear he'll attract interest from the Premiership who could afford much bigger wages. I really think our best hope of keeping him would be a season long loan for next term. Out of Bogdan and Lonergan I'd prefer to keep them both but if pushed I'd keep Lonergan as I think he commands the box a little better.

But in all truth I don't know if we'll be able to keep any of them and that worries me.

My order of prederence -

1. Bogdan
2. Amos
3. Lonergan

I'm 99.9% certain we'll end up with Lonergan though.

i would let Bogdan go, Lonergan has been excellent this season and if we got Amos as well i would be very happy

Suspect Bogdan's recurring injuries during the season robbed us of a cash fee for him in the January window. His agent has been touting him around Europe all season and I believe we will lose him for nowt at seasons end.
Lonergan may have delayed matters while he watches the outcome of Bogdan but believe he will now sign a contract.
Lennon has not disguised his delight at Amos's form and guess he may already have sounded him out about a contract for next season.
Who will be our No.1 next season will be down to form/injury and Lennon's gut feeling.

Lonergan has been our best player this season, laughable that people are doubting him.

None of the three goalkeepers are world beaters, none of them crap. It doesn't really matter who Lennon keeps.

:agree: Certainly our best keeper when it was him v Adam. I think Ben is slightly better than both but if we wound up having to choose between Bogdan and Lonergan I'd go with Andy.

It's six of one and half dozen of the other..... by some fluke we have three decent keepers. I would cash in on Boggers only if we can keep Amos. Otherwise if Amos moves elsewhere we need to keep Andy & Boggers. Either one can be number 1....although I prefer Andy myself by a tad.

If signing Amos is on the cards we have to look at it holistically and from a financial perspective. Boggers may well attract better offers than we can make - he is an international after all. Amos could be subject to a bidding war as often happens with Manure rejects although the faith Lennon has shown in him may swing it for us. The only "as near as you can get to a certainty" is Lonergan.
For me it's likely to be Lonners +1 but seeing as we need new players all over the park I don't think we can throw too much money at the goalkeeping problem, so it's in the balance.

Amos is out of contract in the summer according to a bit of Googling I just did. If we can get him on a free it has to be done as Bogdan is sure to be off come the summer IMO.
