I did. Played more often at the Labour Club though.
Must be ten years since I last picked up a cue.
Remember a good few punch ups over snooker/pool in LH though.

That's my early night gone......

(Johnny - if you edit this and make me look gay with some comment about me wanting to "pot the brown", I'm coming round there and sticking my knob potting your brown. Fair warning.)

I wouldn't dream of it

Johnny, you are dead fit and that and I want your babies! Ha!

I like you breaders. .... just not like that

Is the Labour club The Top Club?

Been to a few do's there over the years.

3pm - Bar opens.

4pm - Buffet's on.

5pm - Disco starts.

7pm - Somebody's sick.

8pm - Bit of a scuffle breaks out.

8:15pm - It's all good again.

10pm - All the older people get taxis home.

11pm - The serious shit starts.

11:07 - The Plod arrive.

11:08 - Mrs B says: "Right...enough. Home time. Why do we keep coming to these do's?"

11:09 - I say: "Because it's your family and you told me it'd be different this time."

11:10 - Mrs B frowns at me, we get in a taxi, go home and don't speak for a bit.

That's what it is now.
I remember when we found out the Con club had a better table; It caused a mass defection.
Used to go finish the night off in The Shamrock. Happy days.

Once won about sixty quid in The Shammy playing "Shoot the pot" on a Friday evening when I only called in for one when I was dropping a mate off who I worked with.

He said "Come in and I'll buy you one. We play cards and it's a good laugh. Just stay for a couple of hands."

They nearly killed me.

Bingham's got this.

Well played him.

You ever tried them?

They taste like shit - seriously.

I spent an hour, lay in bed going "Eurgh! That's fucking nasty."

Kept me up longer than the insomnia.

Karl,

That's my life, mate - It's the comedy gift that just keeps giving.

Johnny,

It will come one day.

You will lie there, staring at the ceiling, begging the Sleep Gods to come but they will forsake you.

They get off on shit like that - it amuses them.

And no amount of chocolate milk will resolve your predicament, mate.

And just wait until your bladder starts shouting: "Oi, you! Get up and go for a piss!!!"

Every half an hour.........

To be fair Dave, my family is just as potty if not stupid.

I remember when I was a kid having family parties at my mum's house one time and the whole family kicking off and throwing punches all because of nothing.

We used to go to the Wilton Arms up Belmont Road a few times a year for family meals but that used to turn into chaos with everyone fighting as well, I'm surprised no one was ever banned!

To this day we never had any since, nor do we ever get together as a family anymore.

Bingham was superb and so was the final from start to finish.

That frame which lasted a week was gripping viewing.

I liked it at the end when Bingham's cheque was being read out that he covered his wife's ears.  Very Happy

The guy's been slogging away for 20 years and that's kudos to him.

I couldn't do it.

And Murphy was very gracious at the end.

(Being a God Botherer and that - no choice really. Ha!)
