How much do you think we'll need to spend in January to stay up?

Would 10 Million be enough, or would it be even less?

£5 mill to stay up. Then start again in the summer and go for promotion

I wonder if we could loan some players out, like maddog, Heskey and Potato head.

If the new owners have any sense they'll pay up Madines contract. I heard heskey was on his way out?

I'd just get loans in to stay up and then rebuild in the summer

The better players we need won't be available for loan though

Rather that than spend more than needed

This is where Lennon's got to sort his shit out and start performing.

(If he's still here, which I think he will be.)

I honestly believe that we've already got a core of players who should be performing better as a team than they have been and we could (and should) be higher up the table.

Not pushing for promotion but equally not rooted at the bottom.

Get shut of Madine and Heskey because they're both dross.

Keep Ameobi (because he's cheap) and use him as an impact sub if needed.

Bring in a couple of fresh faces from the lower leagues and roll the dice on them scoring the 15 or so crucial goals between them that could keep us up.

There's no point persisting with Madine because he clearly doesn't have the stomach for the fight, so he should never get near the first team ever again.

What's the worst that could happen?

We go down?

That's looking nailed on already, so we've nothing to lose.

Id rather us do just enough to stay up and then if there is money to spend use it in the off season. All ifs and buts because it's whether we even have any money to spend

Eddie Davies wouldn't sell to someone that couldn't take us forward

I hope not boggers. But things are desperate.

With all due respect, Boggers, Eddie Davies doesn't exactly have a lot of choice.

If the reports are true, if he doesn't sell this weekend, we're going into Administration early next week, so time's short and he's got to sell to one of the interested parties.

And that doesn't automatically mean that any of them have the funding necessary to "take us forward", only that they've got the best bid out of the three.

That's what the hold up has been, otherwise hed have sold us to anyone. The fact that he's making them pay £10 million before even getting a chance to complete a deal speaks volumes.

If you want to own BWFC you mustn't have shallow pockets and must have a plan.

Buying in desperation got us into this problem way back. As said, consideration, stay up this term and if the wind blows fair then go for promotion next season. Of course, before buying journeymen we have to get rid of a fair bit of dead wood. Give the youngsters a chance and keep/get some experience into the team to shape it and drive it forward.
