Brother's not going, so I'm on the bloody bus again. I shouldn't be out alone that late at night. I scare people at Leigh bus station.
If Tyrers get me there in time for the bus home that is.

That's what I'm doing, but some people can't make it. My brother for instance, hence my having to use the bus.
Yes, I think you'd have to sign up to ifollow. Sky will be showing all midweek matches on the red button.

I'm driving down from Stirling for the match- that's about 220 miles. Is that dedication or just plain stupidity?

My round trip is 300 miles, but I cant make it this time, as I'm off on holiday at the weekend and have to finish getting things sorted.
Rammy, its plain stupid, must be something to do with our age  Very Happy

It's clearly bonkers. My problem with night matches by bus is having to hang about Leigh bus station at 11 at night.
Some dodgy characters out there.
Me for one.

Most would have said it was bonkers to go to Reading last Saturday.....but, my god, it was worth it! Excellent performance, capped off by a wonderful goal. Really promising stuff.....

I agree- it is a bit stupid.
I'm staying at home in Rammy for Saturdays game and then driving back up here. I'm leaving the wife and her dog in Stirling though so I get a few free days ,so its not altogether stupid

Ref watch: Lee Probert appointed referee of Bolton Wanderers v Birmingham City

Lee Probert will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship second Sky Bet Championship home game against Birmingham City on Wednesday evening at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Entering into his 17th year as an official, Probert has overseen just one game this season between Gillingham and Burton Albion, where he produced three yellow cards.

When looking towards last season, Probert dished out 57 yellow cards in 29 games, branding five red cards in total.

Daniel Robathan and Neil Davies will act as linesman for the fixture, with Paul Tierney as fourth official.

Sorry lads but Birmingham will 100% beat us tomorrow. I’m semi psychic and have been all my life, I can predict certain results and this will end 0-1 via a Che Adams goal

Calm down, I was only asking.

The last tarot card reading I had said I'd be married at 30 with 4 kids. I'm still after a refund.

Preview: Five talking points ahead of Bolton Wanderers v Birmingham City

Wanderers take on Birmingham City tonight in their second home Sky Bet Championship gof the 2018/19 season. Ahead of the encounter, bwfc.co.uk picked out five talking points.

New faces

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Since the last time the Whites face Birmingham City, manager Garry Monk has been busy in the summer transfer window.

Kristian Pedersen is new to the Midlands, after signing from Union Berlin in June on a four-year contract.

Predominantly a left back, the Danish Under 21 international has already played three times in the 2018/19 league campaign, keeping a clean sheet against Swansea City in the Blues last match.

Brought in on a free transfer from Cardiff City, goalkeeper Lee Camp was also brought in to challenge Connal Trueman for the starting goalkeeper spot.

The Northern Ireland international was named in the Championship PFA Team of the Year in 2009/10, as well as gaining promotion with Queen’s Park Rangers 2003/04 and AFC Bournemouth in 2014/15.

In the loan market, Gary Gardner was brought in from rivals Aston Villa for the season. He is now playing alongside his brother Craig for the first time.

This also makes him the first player since Curtis Davies to cross the Second City divide.

A game to remember

Back in December 2012, it was a home game against Birmingham City to look back on fondly for Whites fans.

With 17.000 fans in the University of Bolton Stadium, goals from Marcos Alonso, Lee Chung-Yong and a penalty from Keith Andrews secured the three points for Wanderers, with Nikola Zigic scoring the Blues only goal of the game.

To see highlights of this great home game, see the video below:

Unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship

Phil Parkinson’s side are enjoying a fantastic start to the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship season, coming into tonight’s game unbeaten after three games.

Wanderers season started with an emphatic victory away to West Bromwich Albion, with Dutchman Yanic Wildschut claiming all three points late on.

With a draw coming in the first home game against Bristol City, before another victory on the road at the Madejski Stadium against Reading.

Wildschut was the difference maker again on this occasion, after Craig Noone played an expert ball through for the Norwich City loanee to expertly slot home just three minutes after coming on in the second half.

Print at home

A reminder to Wanderers fans that tickets are still available to buy and print at home, to save queuing up this evening.

Make sure to head down to the University of Bolton Stadium to see if the Whites can extend their unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship.
