...and that despite him personally spending the last six days travelling the Central line trying to catch the flyposters red-handed.

Should have patrolled the Circle so he wouldn't have to keep changing platforms which is presumably when the little scamps did their dirty work.

A 14 yr old youth was stabbed to death last week. He was wearing a full face crash helmet and riding a moped when he was attacked. According to his parents he was not a member of any gang. Seriously? Why was he riding a moped? I thought you had to be 16 to ride one?

He was part of a rival gang I believe.

I went in pubs at 15. I shouldn't have been in there, but kids will do what they can get away with.

I don't know if he was a gang member or not, but the description of his death is particularly horrible, and it'll take better men/women than me to sort this problem out.

The common theme is scooters and mopeds.The 6% drop in reported London crime in 2017 has gone back up on the back of a wave of theft of scooters and mopeds which are then used for gun, knife and acid attacks, pedestrian robberies, drug dealing and drug gang warfare. 
The police have started to knock criminals off their mopeds instead of trying to chase them and I'm wondering if these latest stabbings are drug gang territorial issues or vigilantes who are getting fed up with these kids taking the piss.
Always seems to be the case that when the police seem to be getting the upper hand, the bad guys up the ante and perhaps that cycle is leading us inexorably towards armed police?
