Where Do You Stand On Abortion?

The current legal limit that a woman can have an abortion is at 24 weeks.

There has been some discussion this week about lowering that limit to as little as 12 weeks.

Where do you stand on this issue?

I am pro-abortion, but I do think the 24 week limit is much too high and I'd be in favour of bringing it much lower.

I'm 100% against religion influencing government policy.

Jeremy Hunt who is an advocate of Homoeopathy.... and now wants to discuss "12 weeks."

Sorry but he has already proven he knows nothing about health.

I'll be honest nat, i don't really know anything about it.

I think the scientific community is fairly set that between 20-24 weeks is about right.

so i don't see how a politician can possibly know more than them or even deem his comment relevant.

This is a very difficult subject.

If your view is that 20 weeks is too long then surly you must think that one week is too long. You either approve of abortion or you don't.

i would like to see the 24 weeks dropped to 20 weeks, a small percentage of babies have survived after being born at 23/24 weeks.

That's a good point actually.

I wouldn't say I approve of abortion, not by a long chalk. But I do believe a woman should be able to chose what she does with her body, even if she has been a silly bint getting herself pregnant.
