Bogdan - is he any good? - POLL

I'm yet to be convinced by him - what's the point of making brilliant saves if the next moment you give the opposition an open goal to score into?

I've just seen Wolves second goal from last night and my God what a schoolboy error he made in conceeding it. The very first thing you are taught as a keeper is never to knock the ball back into the centre of the penalty box - ALWAYS make sure the ball is cleared AWAY from the danger area.

Why didn't he simply push it around the post??

So is Bogdan worth his place or is he the weakest link?

average, still think he's a decent shot stopper though he saved us a lot in the prem, but throw a few mistakes in there too.

he's a jussi clone.

Not impressed by him tbh. Worst keeper we've had in a while.

Average at best, we'd have been much better sticking with Jussi.

I rate Bogdan quite highly, however a goalie is only as good as the defence in front of him. Joe Hart wouldn't keep a clean sheet with our defence in front of him!

He's not great but he's not awful. And very young for a keeper so he will get better, i personally blame coyles goalkeeping coach, he should never have let Fred barber leave! Hopefully freedman will ring in someone who will be able to improve on boggers' weaknesses.

Fair comment Boon. A mate of mine doesn't rate him at all, he thinks he is a pooor mans jussi. He is improving season on season, was he player of the year or best new comer last year?

He is only 24/25 and has probably 40 first team starts to his name. So with another 15 years+ as a pro I'm sure he isn't the finished article yet.

I think he's good, overall, not the finished product and will only get better.

He's not the weakest link. He gets poor support from our back four.

Still think we should have kept Al Habsi.

I thought he would turn out to be the next Jussi but at the moment he isn't good enough. He may get better but he makes silly mistakes, flaps at a lot of corners and was beaten so many times from free kicks outside the box last season it was scary.

No. He is not very good.

First goal last night seemed to go straight through him and the second one he anticipated it to well and ended up diving past the ball, so all he could really do was knock the ball back into play (god forbid he could try and catch it).

Only good games I've seen him have were at City and United last season.

I haven't voted because the reasoning in the poll doesn't hit the nail on the head for me. I wouldn't say he's particularly accident prone. He's just generally nothing to write home about.

Agreed. We should never have sold Al Habsi.

Al Habsi is decent, just like Bogdan is decent. Jussi in his prime was the best keeper the club will ever have. But those days are over. Time to move on, Bogdan is young and doing alright.
