Sky are not part of EBU (European Broadcasting union) but ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are. (Only Public Service Broadcasters can be part of of EBU)

BUT it is the BBC that forks out for us to be one of the Golden 5 to make sure we do not have to go through the semi-finals. If anything ITV would actually do the same

The whole thing is a fcuking farce. The best singers are not guaranteed to win because of the block voting system. Personally, I think the UK should pull out of it completely because we are just pissing in the wind regardless of who sings for us.

We did do well a few years ago when Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote the song and played the piano, it was a really good song. But what do we expect when we wheel out Bonnie Tyler and that pensioner last year? Why don't we get George Michael or The Pet Shop Boys who are liked the world over, they would piss it.

It wouldn't matter who we nominated because it wouldn't make any difference. Johnny Logan sent out the right message the year that he won it.
