So will the Lennon juggernaut keep on rolling, or is it too soon, I think he has found Chungy's ideal position and if Mavies gets a chance of some game time we could get a 1-1 or maybe 2-1, either way it will be a tougher test than Saturday was.

I don't think we will win this one, maybe a draw, would be very nice to win.

I think this will where the honeymoon period for Lennon ends.
Charlton lost their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday, I expect a backlash and a pretty bad one on our part.
4-1 Charlton.

When has Mavies ever inspired a win? We're better off without the ponce.

If Brucie says we will win, then who are we to argue.

We'll smash them, we could score three or four here, the finishing in training has been tremendous .

Too soon for me ...... Lennon doesn't know his best 11 yet and Charlton are a better team than Brum.
A draw would be a grand result at this stage.

Win number two. Charlton have started the season well but are starting to stutter now. 1-2 away win

Not to long ago Charlton away was always a decent result, in fact at one time it was probably our best away ground, recently that changed under Dougie. Certain grounds suit certain teams for instance we seldom do well at Fulham.
I think you under estimate the effect Lennon is having, i placed £10 win at 9/4 on Saturday on a Bolton win returned £32. i intend to repeat tomorrow. Charlton are playing very well so my optimism is based on a good ground for us and the obvious uplift that NL is having i don't see a defeat, a draw at worst for me. plus i play with the bookies money.

Charlton 0 - Bolton 2.
This is not the same team that started the league. Training sessions are different, the approach is different... watch us climb the table. Gartside out. (I haven't forgotten, Garty!)

How a scabby win by virtue of a fingertip save from Lonnydonergan and a string of squandered opposition chances for a team so shit that they sacked their manager in disgust afterwards constitutes a "juggernaut" I'll never know.
Charlton will be a tougher proposition but Lennon has had a couple of extra days and player confidence must be on the rise so a draw is not impossible. And if Charlton have an off night it could be more but I won't be counting any chickens just yet.
If Lennon tries out a couple of different players he will be accused of "tinkering" (which is a stupid accusation IMO as the objective is to have a squad, not just a team) but he'll have to try them out sooner or later.

Well just as long as it's not Freedman on the touchline, any fucker would be ok driving the juggernaut.wanderlust wrote:MartinBWFC wrote:So will the Lennon juggernaut keep on rolling...

I would happily settle for a point but I will go for a 4-1 away win.

Four goals is optimistic. They have the one and only Tal Ben Haim plus Burnley reject Andre Bikey at the back and the underrated Johnnie Johnson in midfield so they aren't easy to break down. They beat Norwich away by defending resolutely and then nicking a winner on the break - absolute smash and grab merchants IMO. At home they don't play any differently. Would like to see Clayton v Ben Haim/Bikey although Beckford would trounce either of them in a foot race - not that he'd be likely to finish cleanly if he did get away.
