Scott, your opinion wasn't worth anything before you got banned. Why would it be worth anything now? Why you were allowed back is beyond me, crawl back in to your hole.

Bitter is running to Burnden aces and slagging people you've never met off.

Pathetic is not being able to let an internet forum go and begging to come back.

You fit both pretty well.

You seem angry, let it all out, you'll feel much better.

He sounds like he's had a lobotomy which isn't surprising.

Scott's just a bit slow, don't bully him.

It's surprising that any club is willing to damage its reputation for a player that's been in a prison cell for two and a half years.

It's a big price to pay even if scores as many goals as he did for Sheff United.

So, are you saying that Mike Tyson shouldn't have gone back into boxing?

Or Joey Barton didn't learn his lesson after he went to jail?

I'd probably ask myself 'What would Jesus Christ do'.

Really poor by Oldham to sign Evans. If Evans had shown remorse and said he was drunk and said how sorry and ashamed he was, people would likely give him a second chance.
But he is an arrogant nasty rapist and should not be given an opportunity like this.
Oldham have made a big error here.

There is currently a review of the case.....

The fact that he constantly says he was innocent does say something - yes he was convicted but how many other men have been wrongly convicted of a sexual crime because a woman has decided she didn't like it.  I have a friend who was convicted or a sexual crime but eventually got it overturned and he never showed any remorse because he knew he was innocent - many thought he was a wrong'un because he never showed any remorse.

Asking yourself what an imaginary, made up figure would do is pointless.
I would say that the Tyson situation isn't much different, so no, I don't think he should have boxed again. Maybe he could have been a coach. That way, he could pass on his skill and knowledge of the sport and also show the youngsters what they can lose by doing something so bad. Evans could also take that route. At least it would mean the victims, who are probably scarred for life by what's happened to them, wouldn't have to constantly see them on TV or in the newspapers. These two used their careers and what they do for a living to take advantage of others and if that's how they are going to use their fame then it should be taken away from them imo. Joey Barton was done for assault, albeit a pretty bad one, I don't think I would be quite as scarred from a beating than being raped. Headbutting and punching are not uncommon on a football pitch so probably wouldn't have as much impact in terms of being a role model. I have never seen a player get sent off for rape though. He also showed remorse, something the other two didn't. I'm being quite generous towards Barton there as I think he is a horrible cunt as well.

But I do actually know someone who went through it and it isn't nice to see!

I said Jesus Christ, not Natasha Whittam.

He actually isn't made up, he died on a cross.

We'll agree to disagree then 1958.

i'm wondering what happens with his appeal, if he is still found guilty is he going to apologise? If he's cleared there is going to be a lot of egg on a lot of faces.

One thing he should do though is condemn the people harassing the woman involved in all this.

I do have doubts about this whole thing to be honest.

Evans is from the world of PR bullshit, if he'd come out on the steps of his house and apologised for his behaviour and wiped away a few tears he'd be on the front cover of 4-4-2 within a few weeks. People would quickly forget.

But his insistence that he is innocent took me to his website - chedevans.com - where all the evidence used during the court case is viewable, including the footage from the hotel. I didn't realise his co-accused Clayton McDonald was charged with exactly the same crime but was found innocent - despite having sex with the woman in question, just like Evans.

Read it, and you sort of see the argument for he didn't do it.

Having said all that, his bint of a girlfriend deserves everything she gets - not only standing by a man who openly admits to cheating on her, but trying to make out he's some sort of saint.
