Shouldn't this be in the "Yet another Christian Atrocity" thread along with all the major wars and Cliff Richard singing at Wimbledon then?
As far as I know, he didn't do it in the name of religion. So no.

Who? Cliff?

Well he certainly didn't do it in the name of music...

Totally different situation. Sir Cliff Never killed anyone... yet. (no doubt he will turn out to be a child molester like everyone else famous who was born after 1945 though)

Anyone see this? I was genuinely shocked at how high the number was. The government should be acting on information like this,

well it's only a 1000 people but 27% have sympathy with the motives of public executions.

8% "know" people who are sympathetic with IS.

only 49% think hate preachers are out of touch and 14% want to leave Britain.

78% feel offended at cartoons, 24% agree with acts of violence, 6% feel disloyal to Britain.

all those are a touch worrying.

I think it's the lack of tolence that's being referred to?

Sorry not worded particularly well, I think all of them are alarming particularly 11% feel sympathy with people who want to fight against Western interests and 27% had sympathy for the motives behind Charlie Hebdo.

This bit made be laugh from the above link - quite ironic I though! -

Islam is a religion of peace and love - not violence: sentiments that have been expressed numerous times here in Bradford.

Out of the dozens of people I've spoken to, an overwhelming majority have said they're angry...

So much for peace and love then!

Very Happy

Apparently it is our fault he's turned into a mad axeman chopping people's heads off because we apparently mistook him for a potential terrorist!

Another of his mates was blown up fighting for Bin Laden's lot (al-Shabab) in Somalia. Just a coincidence no doubt.

In a news conference, Asim Qureshi, the research director of the London-based human rights group Cage, which had been in contact with Emwazi over a number of years, explained how he had been approached by the Washington Post for the story and detailed the difficulties Emwazi had had with security services in the UK and overseas.

Mr Qureshi said Emwazi, who is understood to be about 27, had been "extremely kind, gentle and soft-spoken, the most humble young person I knew".

Anybody think Mr Quershi might have been played a little bit by our mad axeman friend?

Or are there non so blind as those that will not see?

My heart bleeds for him!
Unfortunately you give these tosspots a better life, whether they are born here or not, and they're not happy?
They've been given comfy blankets, allow them to call us infidels (as low as pigs in their eyes) and halal meat, how much more pampering do they want?
Ffs I know folk that are pissed off here, do they fuck off some where and slaughter innocent people cos they have foreskins?
The sooner these cnuts are taken out, the better!!!

"Nonsense. Get over yourself."

I stopped watching Sky News a while ago because it's getting more like Fox News every day.

Say what you like about the BBC but you'd never hear a comment like that on there.

That is one weird beard! Do they deliberately look for the weirdest looking Muslim for TV interviews?

I can't stand Kay Burley absolute bear baiter of the highest order and the interview technique is patronising and overly aggressive.  Bread is right about the Fox influence.

that said nothing she said was racist in any way considering Islam is not a race and he used to ol' "islamaphobic" as well, a word made up because they realised using the word racist wouldn't get them very far so they needed something new to stymie any debate or questions about their backward and oppressive beliefs.

this guy probably didn't get the memo and is using both.

Agree with you both on Sky News, thought it the other week during an interview with Chukka Umuna, the interviewers seem more concerned with getting a reaction than an interesting opinion.

Do you really think Islamophobia doesn't exist though Hipster? Seems to me it's on the rise, along with anti-semitism.

It's just a word created by Muslims to imply some prejudice when discussing Islam because they can't use the word racist.  That doesn't mean I don't think there are plenty of bigoted people who have genuine hatred for muslims but we already have a word for that bigotry.

It's constantly used in perfectly civil and academic debates that actually seek to discuss Islam, the people on the streets with placards and skinheads are just bigoted idiots.
