Respect to Hitchens Minor there.
I would have struggled not to get up and stick my foot right down that cackling bint's throat.

It's constantly used in perfectly civil and academic debates that actually seek to discuss Islam, the people on the streets with placards and skinheads are just bigoted idiots.

Fair enough, Hitchen's makes a good argument in that clip - still can't stand him though.
I suppose it's akin to the instant response of pro-Israelis who cry anti-semitism whenever somebody disagrees with Zionism, shutting down a perfectly reasonable debate.

Technically true Nat as the article says: the force wrongly said the families had known a close friend of the girls was already in Syria before they disappeared from London. However it shows the families blaming the police for their own problems. Did none of their daughters mention their best friend had gone to Syria? Did they not suspect their daughters were nutters? What about their upbringing might have contributed to their daughters behaviour? What difference would it have made if the police or school had managed to communicate with these parents?
