Pepe Guardiola would be my preferred candidate if he decides to leave Barca. Yes, he may be a Chorizo chomper but he knows how to set up a team to play the beautiful game.

My choice would have been Di Matteo after we sacked Coyle in December.
Sadly I'm not the chairman.

Di Canio, but he's happy at Swindon

Wasn't Billy Davies partly respnsible at Derby, when Derby recorded the lowest ever points total in the prem? I think Paul Jewell helped too!
I can't remember if he was sacked or he resigned? I think he spat his dummy out over the clubs finances. I don't think it would take him long to do the same at the Reebok.
I would employ Ian Holloway. Blackpool were pretty unfortunate to get relegated in their first season. Holloway lost his 3 best players, in Adam, DJ Campbell and Vaughan, at the end of the season.
To get Blackpool pushing for a possible return to the premier, with a minimal budget and losing the above mentioned players takes some doing, in a highly competitive division.

My fear for the summer is more OC signings once we lose the players out of contract.
In Sordell & Alonso, we had £6m worth of Coyle signings who couldn't get in the starting line up.. I'll not start on Ngog, you get the picture..
My assessment is the more he signs, the worse we get.

If we got Ian Holloway, i'd be devastated.
I hate "crcaters" I'd hate to have him or any other publicity hungry twat like Warnock.
The David Brents of football management.

Chris Hughton as done a marvellous job considering the financial constraints he's had to work under at Birmingham.
Rather have him any day than Holloway.

I am going to put my neck on the line against my better judgement and say keep Coyle.
I really do hope if we go down he proves us wrong and we eat our words. I think it is a real possibility.

I think the board will give Coyle one season if we get relegated. Too much chopping and changing will not help matters. Every new manager wants his own back room staff and players.
Coyle got Burnley promoted on a limited budget so I think he will get the benefit of the doubt.

If we go down and Coyle remains in charge, I hope he goes shopping for some cojones.

What is the point of keeping Coyle? Even if by some miracle he gets us straight back up - he's still the tactical bellend who is out of his depth in the PL. A few trips to the likes of Barnsley, Ipswich & Derby isn't going to change that.

Anyone who says keep Coyle is a nutter. Coyle has been with us for 2 and a half years and in that time we have all learnt that he is a very very average manager at best. I honestly believe I could set up a team better than Coyle. Coyle gets it wrong so many times with line ups, formations, substitutions, tactics, etc. I just so hope he can get it right for once on Sunday. We all know that Bolton are capable of winning at Stoke, its not an impossible task, if we get the tactics, formation, line up, etc right we can win. This is Coyle's biggest ever test.
As for next manager what about Paulo Di Canio? He has started off very brightly, he apparently works his players really hard and takes no shit. He would come to Bolton from Swindon.

RT, if we keep Coyle, and he gets us promoted, then we will have to get rid of him before we come up, as he's already proven that he can't cope with the Premier.
