No it's not a typo, i did mean watches and not watchers.

I've had a few in the past but never really worn them.  My missus bought me a couple in the past, really nice watches but i never felt comfortable wearing them.  One was a storm watch and one was a fossil watch.

For xmas i had seen one that i really fancied and my mrs got it for me.  A really nice G-Shock one and it is really comfortable to wear.

Are watches fashionable anymore though?  Are they a dying thing due to mobile phones etc?  What watch do you wear if you have one?  (Include pics)

Here is mine;

I wear an Accurist wristwatch which I have worn for over 25 years and it still works perfectly. Always remember....If you want to have a good time then you must have a good watch.

Quite possibly the dumbest comment I've ever read on a forum.

Watches are probably more functional than fashionable. Having worn a wristwatch all of my adult life I would feel lost without one.

Why, do you not read back your comments before you publish them.

Bellend.

But everyone has a mobile phone these days with the time displayed on them and i can imagine a lot of people think of watches as pointless these days.

If you're 18 and watch Geordie Shore, possibly.

I grew up without a mobile phone. I have one nowadays but I only use it to make calls.

I'm with you on this RT. Always worn a watch and can turn my wrist much easier than get my phone out my pocket.
I've graduated from Timex at school to Omega now.
Both do exactly the same job, one is defunct as far as I know, the other is a marvellous piece of engineering!
I'm also into wall clocks, not the battery type.
Sad I know, but each to his own?

My first watch in the sixties was a Timex! Cheap and cheerful and worked fine.

I feel naked without my watch.
It's radio controlled and sets itself by the atomic clock.
I've no excuse for being late.

I have a Breitling, Jacob and co, Rolex, Bvlgari, Cartier, and a tag.

All fake and still working great.

I like things simple when it comes to watches.
I don't want to know what time it is in Peru,or the time it's taken me to walk a mile,or whether I'm heading North or South.
As for the watch face,I prefer 'hands' rather than the digital option.
Don't really fancy any of the android watches coming onto the market. Waste of money imo.

Got about 4 of them- all the same style. They must have a white face and black numerals. Plain and simple
