I have never been a big fan of the snail scoffers but I must admit I would rather have them as bedfellows than the ISIS mob.

I support freedom of speech and our history of satire in the media as in I may disagree with what you are saying but I will defend your right to say it.
That said, some sensitivity is required.
Most Muslims won't like the cartoon of Allah and think it disrespectful, but will tolerate it because of their support for freedom of speech. It is very noticeable that none of the British papers have reproduced the cartoon.
So for Charlie Hebdo - a shit French mag with a tiny circulation of 300k - to reprint it today and do a print run of 5 million copies which folk will buy just to see what the fuss is about - is very distasteful to me and there is no doubt in my mind they are simply trying to be controversial to cash in.
The reprint is tantamount to inciting racial violence which is an offence in the UK and probably across Europe.
I agree with their original decision to publish and defend their right to do so, but the reprint is taking the piss and they are lining their pockets at the expense of the public and in the face of the law I believe. They should jail the bastards IMO.
