From Vic 20 through to Commodore PC (Vic 20, C=64, C=128, C=Amiga - whilst uncle and grandparents had C=64+ and  sister had C=16) more recently just bog standard desk tops and laptops.   I was a commodore person and never steered away from them - until they went bust.

Favourite games were:
Manic Miner and the sequel Jet Set Willy
Ghostbusters
Monopoly - from Mastertronic
Daley Thompson's Decathlon
Lemmings
Dr Who - Invasion of The Daleks
Premier Manager
Wizball

"Ocean" was Manchester based software company who was bought by French software company "Infrogames" and is now called "Atari inc"!

i had a friend who had a ZX, i remember the stick tennis game. the first games console i ever had was a Phillips console in prpbably the late 70s and early 80's. Used to but the games from the electrical shop on Halliwell Road next to Derbyshires

Button Bashers up St Helens Road was always brilliant for retro stuff.  right up until mid 2000 in think they lasted.  Probably sold it all online once it closed.

My dad had a Spectrum with rubber keys and a confusing layout. It's in the loft somewhere with a few Atari computers. I was too young then so my first foray into games things was Playstation. The 'New' Spectrum has a virtual keyboard and lots of games preinstalled so not really a Spectrum. More a Spectrum emulator which you can get for free on the web somewhere. All the old bastits will be going out for it no doubt. Hope their carers keep an eye on them, feckin' posers!  Basketball

There is a shop near Amsterdam Centraal station that has all the old-skool computers and consoles in the window - it is great to look at when walking past, and remember the rose-tinted good old days.
