If you were given the chance to go back in time to change one action you regret, put right a family rift, or simply say something you regretted never saying, what would it be?

I'd stick a knife in my old man's guts and save my mother a lot of grief .

On the face of it, it's a no-brainer for me: I wouldn't marry the first Mrs B.
I was too young and I did it for all the wrong reasons.
But then again, if I'd never married her, my life would have taken a different path and I might not have ended up where I am now, happily married to the current Mrs B and happier than a pig in shit.
So you never know......
One thing I would definitely change though is going to Wembley for the Stoke game.
Absolutely nothing positive about that experience.

i'd go back to the minutes before i was glassed aged 18 and lost my eye. I was seeing a girl at the time and her ex was a nutter and used to follow her round. I tried to speak to him and tell him to leave us alone but 5 minutes later - wallop

I hope he got done for it.

So you wait for post 2835 before telling us this earth-shattering news?
And I thought we were family on here.

I flew back from Washington DC to watch the Stoke game, going without sleep, food and a shower beforehand. Made it to the game a few minutes before kick-off.....and to my amazement actually fell asleep standing up (!) at a friend's house soon afterwards. Hadn't thought it was possible. Shame I didn't sleep through the whole match to save myself the pain that repeats itself regularly.Breadman wrote:On the face of it, it's a no-brainer for me: I wouldn't marry the first Mrs B.

Biggest regret was making my father cry by speaking thoughtlessly and very unfairly. Have hated myself ever since for this.

The coach trip to Wembley was unreal, Worth getting battered 5-0.

Please don't go on about the Stoke game - it still rankles
As regards regrets...I have a list but que sera sera.....can't change anything now and have no idea if life would be better or worse if history was changed so it ain't worth worrying about.

It has come as a surprise to me too, the shit bag who did this to you should have had one eye removed as punishment.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Jesus Norpig, I know you have learned to live with it and all that but that's bad. Doesn't seem right someone only gets 3 years for affecting someone for a lifetime.
