Fucking stupid Utd bastards not sending the paperwork through on time - I bet if it was the other way round they would have found a way round it.

I also think all these loanees have been taken with a view to making a permanent signing but we've been there before haven't we? Either they haven't been as good as they were thought to be (not that Dougie gave them any chance in the first team) or we couldn't meet the asking price.
I would hope that Lennon is smart enough to get their clubs to agree a price now so that we don't waste time and resources on them.
It would p*** me right off if a player came to us out of favour, played well and then his club doubled the asking price because of how valuable he'd become to us.
Been there, got the T-shirt and don't want to waste first team experience on players we'll never sign ever again.
If Lennon is genuinely trying to build the club, he needs to do it correctly so I'm hopeful he's got some sort of agreement to sell with a price cap included in the loan deal.

Can't see it but Liverpool have more money than sense at the moment.

They made a bid for about 1 million a few years ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did come back in for him.

Not quite sure he would exactly be a replacement for Gerrard though.

Are we still in the emergency loan period or whatever it's called i.e. is there still some device whereby clubs can legally add to their squads in play?

He's been here dragging his feet in training in a catch 22 situation. He's not training full blast because he's not getting picked and he won't get picked unless he trains full blast. The only reason I can think of is that we contractually committed to paying his wages for the rest of the season and Cardiff are not in a hurry for his return - which would mean that if we are stuck with him, put him a game and see what happens. What's the worst that could happen? Surely Neil isn't afraid we'll concede four goals in a game if he plays him...
