I agree 100%. Unfortunately, most Muslim leaders, and indeed law enforcers, are the Imams.
When you take into account the big increase in their numbers, often brought into a lifestyle they do not understand, and still living in the stone age, who preach intolerance and hatred, then the vast majority of Muslims are on a hiding to nothing. Back to my original point in that its no use talking to them, and its no use their own people talking to them, because they are scared to.
I cannot but wonder what the alternative could be. I also agree that we should talk, but if we talk now, concessions will only come from our side, when all they will need to do is scale down the violence, because they have what they want, and, incidentally, leaving their own people unprotected, because we signed their rights away for a cessation in the fighting.
