still a great band and they brought out an album recently that went back to their original garage rock sound. Been to see them live about 5 or 6 times now and still put on a good showBreadman wrote:Student Ritzy's on a Tuesday night, Panthers on Friday and Hawthorns on Saturday, circa 1989 - never mind what you're doing, it's not important, drop your pint and rock the fuck out when you hear the opening drums on this one was the order of the day!
Saw them playing this live at Pirhanhas which was a club underneath Central TV's studios in Birmingham.

How can you not like it. Its called judy is a dick slap.
Its the first time i heard it today. I usually like belle and Sebastian but this was instrumental and a tad boring. But the name is brilliant

Boncey, are you a big JB fan? Mountain Time is one awesome tune. I saw him at Manc Academy 3 in 2007 and his arse was hanging out of his jeans. 12 months later and he's dressed for going to a wedding, what a transition!
The man has worked his bollox off to get where he is and deserves it. Been impressed with him since Paul Jones played him on his radio prog and he has few equals in my book.

Saw these men a few years ago at the Albert Hall in Bolton, to say I was underwhelmed was an understatement.
Still music is like ale, personal preference.

I love his stuff with her, Guitar God and Rock Chick in perfect harmony I'd say.

The new Elbow EP, Lost Worker Bee, is very good. A return to form, free of the arm-waving-epic- festival-shite of recent years.

I'm currently embroiled in a "YouTube comment row" with some yank who seems obsessed with slagging The Durutti Column off for some bizarre reason.
It's been going on for weeks.
Every time I log onto my computer I get a Google+ notification that a new (venom filled) comment has been added.
He really hates them and I'm trying to uncover why.
I think VR must have bummed his Mum and kicked his cat at some point in the 80's because he properly hates them.
It's a bit odd because there's a wide world of stuff out there to hate (Thatcher, Cowell, shit weather, Muslim extremists, getting a puncture in the rain, AIDS, short measures in pubs, Jose Mourinho, etc) but he's picked the DC and I'm honestly struugling to understand why.
Not giving up though - I'll crack it.
Or him.....

Fuckin' awesome vid by the way, Mr Pig - honestly brought a tear to my eye.
But then I've had a few.........
I still look back the the late 80's / early 90's as the best days ever.
Cheers for posting, mate.
