I love these internet scraps. The site would be boring as fook if everyone got along.

I'm hoping this 1874/Boggers scrap will turn into another "meet me outside the ground at 2.45pm so I can twat you" situation.

Funniest thing about this one is that it wasn't even Bread and AD last night, just the mention of those two rowing ignites hysteria. Brilliant through, really
enjoyed reading that.

Boggers and me is just winding each other up. He PMd me last night with a grovelling apology, fair play to him.
1-0 to 1874 I think, come on Boggers lets see that grovelling apology  Very Happy

To return to the actual topic for a moment, Nicola Sturgeon proved to be the most effective speaker last night....in fact, all the females were impressive articulators of their party's ideals. The men were put on the back foot quite easily. Definitely need more females in government.

Go on, Natasha, your cue to respond positively.......

You're right about Nicola Sturgeon Okocha, she came across well although Hipster may disagree. Farage showed his true colours last night, his comment about HIV sufferers was appalling

Why would I disagree, she was superb, certainly a cut above anyone else on the panel.

I thought Miliband and Leanne Wood were equally as bad as each other, Miliband's obvious (and cringeworthy) strategy of ignoring all the questions and "returning" to something Cameron said was really annoying, so was his insistence of "talking" to the people at home.

way too much media training Ed.

Farage was actually probably 2nd best IMO, I thought Natalie Bennet held her own too I was expecting her to be dreadful.

What's wrong with that?

It might seem insensitive but should we really be spending money on the health of foreigners when many British people can't get the drugs/healthcare they require?

I'm guessing if you were refused a cancer drug because it was too expensive you'd be hacked off if you heard Adolf from Poland being offered expensive HIV drugs in the next room.

They come here because the drugs are cheaper and lets not forget that the NHS gets the money back from the countries they come from, within the EU or they get the money back via the Government as they have to apply to get money back via the Foreign Office for non-EU countries!

To be fair, he was using the HIV sufferers to disrespect the gay community more than anyone else and try to stir up homophobic actions.  Would any deny treatment for anyone suffering from HIV who had received it from a blood transfusion or from any other blood on blood contact - lets not forget that the 2nd highest danger group are actually medical staff who have to deal with the sufferers!!!

But there again, he did not talk about the thousands of British who travel overseas to get cheaper cancer treatment at the expense of the receiving countries tax-payer - or would that have been classed as to close to home and too cruel? (best example being the little boy last year who's parents were wrongfully arrested for taking him to another country for treatment)

Then lets not forget the amount of British living in Spain (approximately 1.8 million) who use the Spanish health service at the expense of the Spanish tax-payer!!!  Funny he didn't mention that - either!

Fuhrage seems to forget that all that he says happens in both directions and it is never just one-way traffic!

Nat i know you think you have to stir things up and stimulate debate but if you seriously believe that then you've disappointed me greatly.

No one is denied any drugs that have been approved by NICE. True some drugs are not approved because of the high cost and because they may only extend life by a couple of months but that is a very small number.

These facts and figures may be wrong as it was quite late when i was looking last night and the only figures i could find where from 2013 i think.

The prison population is about 90000.

14% are non british

That equates to around 12600

Each prisoner costs the uk 40000 gbp a year.

Thats 504,000,000 gbp's spent on people who have come to.this country and then abused their privelege of being here by commiting crime.

They could save 39999 per person by buying some armbands from pound shop and taking them to thensouthern most accessible point for the sea.

Cant even look after our own elderly and vulnerable yet other countries criminals get three square meals a day, round the clock care and plenty of fresh air and exercise.

Really? You honestly believe that? So how come we are still owed £62million?

I seem to remember your exact words were "I hope you die of AIDS you bitch".

Not exactly what Farage was saying.

You said it was an awful comment, I'm just saying it wasn't without merit.

My Aunt Mabel lives in Settle and was refused a new cancer drug because it was deemed too expensive by the NHS Trust she falls under. Had she lives 10 miles to the West and lived under a different NHS Trust the drug would have been given her.

Please don't try and say this isn't a common scenario.

So my Aunt Mabel who worked her hands to the bone for 40 years can't have a drug to extend her life by upto 10 years but Josef and Adolf from Poland who haven't paid a penny in tax to the UK can move here and take advantage of our NHS.

How is that fair?

Norpig

Upto 10 years? I'd love to know the name of this drug please Nat. As for Poland, as they are in the EU the money spent on Polish people treated by our NHS can be claimed back.
