Our final Championship game is at home against Birmingham City.

Both teams have nothing to fight for, they will not be relegated nor can they get into the play-offs with a 3 point win.

Birmingham are in 11th place with 60 points whilst Bolton are in 18th with 51.

Here are some stats for you all...

The last 5 meetings between both teams:

Birmingham  0-1 Bolton
Bolton         2-2 Birmingham
Birmingham  1-2 Bolton
Bolton         3-1 Birmingham
Birmingham   2-1 Bolton

Birmingham's last 5 Championship results:

Birmingham 1-0 Charlton
Reading      0-1 Birmingham
Watford      1-0 Birmingham
Birmingham  2-2 Blackburn
Birmingham  2-1 Wolves

Do you feel that the players will be on holiday and it will be a boring draw?

My prediction: Bolton 2-1 Birmingham

How do you all think we will do?

Ref watch: Mark Brown in the middle

Mark Brown will run the rule over Wanderers’ final game of the 2014/15 season against Birmingham City at Macron Stadium on Saturday.

The East Yorkshire-based referee has taken charge of three Whites’ fixtures in the past, including Bolton's home clash with Derby County from earlier in the season.

Mr Brown has officiated 33 games so far this season, handing out 74 yellow cards and seven red cards.

Richard Bartlett and Wayne Grunnill will run the line, while Andy Haines is the fourth official.

We'll smash these 6-0 then announce that Bogdan, pratley and eidur have signed new deals and then introduce the new owners who pledge a £12 million warchest which buys us ALF and Jutkiewicz and then we win the league.

The chance was missed to send these blue-nosed tossers down last year and I'm still seething about it.

Probably win this time when it doesn't matter.  ::seething::

Preview: Bolton v Birmingham City

SETTING THE SCENE

Bolton Wanderers host Birmingham City in their final game of the season for the second year running as the Whites look to end the 2014/15 campaign on a high in front of their home fans.

Visitors Birmingham come into the tie sitting 11th in the table, with boss Gary Rowett recently nominated for the Championship Manager of the Month award for April courtesy of his side’s efforts.

Predominantly poor on their travels, the Blues’ won their last away match against Reading but that is their only league victory on the road in 2015, leaving Bolton keen to maintain their form at Macron Stadium under Neil Lennon, having lost just twice at BL6 in the league since the Northern Irishman’s arrival.

TEAM NEWS

Neil Lennon faces a defensive reshuffle ahead of Saturday’s visit of Birmingham City with Dorian Dervite suspended after he was sent off against Bournemouth and Paddy McCarthy (foot) injured, though Matt Mills’ (head) chances of making a return remain in the balance.

Craig Davies and Darren Pratley (both hamstring) will not be risked while Josh Vela (groin) is again absent after being ruled out for the rest of the season.

Max Clayton (knee), Zach Clough (shoulder), Kevin McNaughton (leg), Simeon Slavchev (ankle) and David Wheater (hamstring) all remain long-term absentees.

LAST BIRMINGHAM CITY XI (v Charlton Athletic, W1-0)

Randolph, Caddis, Spector, Morrison, Grounds, Davis, Tesche, Cotterill (Dyer 71), Fabbrini (Thomas 80), Gray, Donaldson.

ONE TO WATCH

Having enjoyed prolific campaigns in the Conference, League Two and League One throughout his career, Clayton Donaldson’s rise up the Football League ladder has continued this season after an impressive debut campaign in the Championship with Birmingham City.

The Blues’ leading goalscorer with 16 goals, the forward moved to St Andrew’s last summer on a free transfer after helping Brentford win promotion to the English second tier last season.

League Two’s leading goalscorer with 28 goals when with Crewe in 2011, the 31-year-old’s form earned him a move to League One side Brentford that summer.

Scoring 24 goals as the Bees lost to Yeovil Town in the League One Play-Off Final in 2012/13, Donaldson netted a further 18 the following year as Brentford won promotion as League One runners-up.

LAST TIME THEY WERE HERE (Bolton 2-2 Birmingham, 3 May 2014)

Bolton Wanderers conceded a two-goal lead the last time Birmingham visited Macron Stadium as the Blues secured their Championship survival against the odds in the most dramatic of circumstances on the final day of last season.

Goals in each half from Lee Chung-Yong and Lukas Jutkiewicz saw the Whites take control of the game before Nikola Zigic halved the deficit with 12 minutes left on the clock.

Needing an equaliser to avoid the drop, Birmingham got the required goal in injury-time as Paul Caddis headed home after Tim Ream had cleared a Zigic effort off the line.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

Can see this being a draw. Gary Rowett has done a very good job with Birmingham so it will be a tough game I think.

Report: Bolton 0-1 Birmingham City

IN BRIEF

Wanderers ended the 2014/15 campaign with a 1-0 defeat at home to Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.

Following a first period of few chances, it was the visitors who drew first blood with three minutes of the half remaining as Robert Tesche rifled home on the rebound from close range.

In the second half, Bolton did rally in a bid to force an equalising goal with Eidur Gudjohnsen seeing an effort chalked off for offside early on, but their efforts were to prove fruitless as the Blues held out for the victory.

TEAM NEWS

Quade Taylor came into the starting XI for Wanderers for his first senior appearance, while Oscar Threlkeld was also in from the off having featured as a substitute against Bournemouth on Monday.

Eidur Gudjohnsen was the captain for the Whites against the Blues, with Mark Davies making his second consecutive start for the Trotters.

FIRST HALF

Wanderers started brightly, with Eidur Gudjohnsen slamming a free-kick down the throat of Darren Randolph inside the opening stages while Emile Heskey saw his drilled effort fly just over the crossbar early on.

The Bolton pressure continued, with Adam Le Fondre collecting Barry Bannan’s clever through ball before firing his shot just wide of the mark from just outside the area.

The visitors however then proceeded to enjoy a period of pressure of their own, with Clayton Donaldson and Demarai Gray proving themselves to be notable presences in the Bolton box.

Le Fondre and Bannan linked up well once again with 15 minutes gone as the former collected the midfielder’s pass before attempting to provide a dangerous cross-goal pass, only for his effort to fly narrowly wide of Randolph’s far post.

The game was quickly moving into an end-to-end encounter, with Tim Ream almost marking his Player of the Year accolade with the opener as he saw his diving header somehow elude the goalmouth.

Halfway through the first period, Mark Davies came within inches of drawing first blood as he powered through midfield before unleashing an effort on goal, but his shot failed to trouble Randolph in the Birmingham goal.

Gray was next to enjoy a notable opportunity for the visitors, with his out swinging free-kick causing chaos in the six yard box before Wanderers were able to clear their lines.

Heskey however came closest inside the first third of the game, with his header from Le Fondre’s cross missing the mark by a whisker with Macron Stadium already on its collective feet.

Birmingham did enjoy chances as the half drew to its conclusion with Gray and Donaldson testing Adam Bogdan from close range while the latter couldn’t gain the contact needed whilst unmarked from six yards.

Having really failed to trouble Wanderers however, Gary Rowett’s side broke the deadlock as, on the rebound, Robert Tesche slammed home from a matter of yards out with three minutes of the half to go.

An equaliser was almost immediate as Le Fondre attempted to chip Randolph, but the keeper was equal to his effort to maintain his side’s advantage at the break.

SECOND HALF

With no changes for either side at half time aside from the referee who was replaced with fourth official Steven Rushton, the second period began with a Bolton attack with Gudjohnsen putting the ball in the back of the net, only to be deemed offside.

The bright start continued from the hosts, but as both teams began to settle into the game a little more, Birmingham were proving a stubborn nut to crack as Wanderers pressed forward in search of an equalising goal.

Neil Lennon’s men were getting closer with each passing attack with Moxey notably causing problems for the Blues down the left flank with his wicked balls across the face of goal unfortunately narrowly eluding his teammates.

Moxey was again in the thick of the action with 13 minutes of the half gone as he found Bannan at the far post, only for the midfielder to struggle to get any direction on his shot which thundered into the stand behind.

The game saw the introduction of Tom Walker in place of Danns moments later, but with the blustery weather conditions playing their part Wanderers were having to work hard to make headway in the game.

Birmingham, who had found themselves under pressure from the outset, then saw Lloyd Dyer break free on a rare move forward, but the striker’s final product didn’t trouble Bogdan.

Buoyed by their close call, Gray had hearts in mouths with 25 minutes to go as he attempted to curl the ball in to the Hungarian’s top corner, only to miss the target by a matter of inches.

As the clock ran down, Liam Feeney was thrown into the mix as Gudjohnsen left the field of play in a bid to help Wanderers find an elusive equaliser and were almost rewarded when the winger found Le Fondre in the six yard box, but the striker’s eventual header was wide of the mark.

Feeney almost turned goalscorer himself with 15 minutes remaining as he scooped up a loose ball in the box, only to fire his shot over the crossbar as Saidy Janko became the Whites’ final change in place of Mark Davies.

With the clash entering its final ten minutes, Bolton threw men forward but their frustration was evident as the Birmingham backline stood firm.

Once three minutes of added time were indicated, it was a case of all hands to the pump for Wanderers with the visitors almost snatching a second on the counter attack through Dyer.

With a free-kick awarded for a foul on Janko, bodies piled into Birmingham’s half as the hosts pushed for a late goal but it was to no avail as the St Andrew’s outfit held out for all three points.
