i'm a bit pissed off. same old southern chippys. absolute shite. no gravy and i refused to ask for a bread roll and just stood at the counter shouting barm at the top of my voice until the 16 year old server started crying

not that i have seen bonce. we have costcutters at petrol stations they have a waitrose. cost me 6 quid for two bottles of pepsi max and a bag of buttons

You should have had a steak and kidney pudding, at least is has some gravy in it.

You could do with your Mrs doing you a flask of gravy for when you are away! Very Happy

It is a strange place food wise down south. I was in London two years ago and when I told a cockney chap I wanted beans with my breakfast he looked at me like I'd asked if I could have a go on his missus.

I hate it down south.

i must admit the breakfast at the hotel is huge. a proper gut buster. i couldn't finish it yesterday, so i said no sausage and no tomatoes this morning. so what did they do, give me extra egg and bacon. still didn't finish it. the good thing is i don't need any lunch Smile

having had a couple of cheap on the road teas i might eat in the restaurant tonight. cheese burger on a brioche bun wit sweet potato fries.

ETA: the reason i replied was to say they did beans with the breakfast without me asking 58, but i'm just outside the M25 rather than on the inside where jellied eels and savaloy's are classed as one of your five a day
