Given what we have, how do you see us lining up for the big kick off?

Amos
Kellett ?

Wheater
Dervite

Ream

Feeney

Vela

Davies

Clayton

Clough
Madine

Just about as good as we can muster, question is, is that good enough?

Our defense is a problem of epic proportions.

Moxey finally seems to be serving a purpose. I'd play him at left back and ream in place of dershite

I don't see enough to be honest but I do know that Dervite and Ream are poor defenders. Moxey I can't comment on. I'd try Ream sat in front of the back four spraying the ball around - he can pass a ball a bit and would be a useful outlet for the defenders instead of them just lumping it long.

I have a feeling we will be conceding lots of goals unless we get a decent CB in.

Ream is probably our most consistent player, okay he won't set the world on fire but he is a damn site better than dervite and wheater, and whilst it is to early to comment on derik yet i would hazard a guess he is also better than him.

I too would prefer him being played in the "campo" style role but i don't think that fits in with lennons plan, that type of player, so at the back would definitely be best

i see Madine has scored a couple in pre-season, how's he looking? A front three of Madine, Clough and Clayton may be quite useful

If the pre-season plus the news articles that imply we won't be getting Kuipers or any other solid CB is anything to go by, we are shaping up like cannon fodder. Way too many "average at best" midfielders and strikers and not enough talent or pace elsewhere.

Always going to be a tough job to rebuild the squad but I was hoping for more creativity from Lennon.

Not really his fault though, is it?

If you walk in Tesco with no money in your wallet, you ain't walking out again with a bag full of fillet steak, are you?

You have to settle for out of date Tesco Value burgers, pilfered from the bins round the back.

Not suggesting it's anyone's fault, but Lennon's not been doing enough bin pilfering for me - not that he would in public. Or pulling in favours. Or using his knowledge of Celtic's scouting system. Or selling the dream with his outstanding interpersonal skills - if the outcome to date is anything to go by.

The "aura" that surrounds Neil suggests he might be the man to pull a rabbit out of the hat and I was just saying I'd been hoping he might have done just that by now.

Maybe he'd have to go to a specialist butcher for rabbits these days?

As I see it we have replaced outgoing players with cheaper versions. So even if the numbers are made up in the squad it's not as good as last season. And that lot finished 18th as I recall. You can argue that getting Mavies and Clayton for a full season has improved us somewhat. Of course both of those two getting 90 minutes of football between them will be a miracle.
Looks like just survive another season in the champs and clear that wage bill ...then sell to the highest bidder if possible.

Wouldn't it be grand if big eddie or phil would address the fans or a least give an interview regarding their ideas for the club. The secrecy those boys operate under is like M.I.5.

On a side note...just saw Stuart Holden commentating on the Mexico vs Jamaica game. Believe it or not he still has an open door at BWFC.
