Id be lying if i said anything other than OF COURSE I DO!!!!!!

Dervite is apparently confident that our defence can "stand firm" despite losing Wheater and Osede which will be some feat against Darren Bent, Tom Ince, Andreas Weimann and that lumbering beast Chris Martin.
This match will be a real trial by fire for our lads, but I think the game will be won or lost in the midfield and managing the likes of Will Hughes and Jesse Lingard won't be easy. How we get them on the back foot without compromising our defence is hard to see, but we live in hope.

sounds like Derby have a good team 

Will Hughes is a very good player, very surprised he hasn't been picked up by a bigger team yet.  My mates is a derby fan and he says he always has a good game against us but does have a tendency to go missing.  i told him out whole team tends to do that most games!!!!

They have a lot of good players who are now pretty experienced - as have many other teams in this league. It's going to be tough but maybe our kids will surprise them. At least I hope they do.

Thought they'd renewed the loan from Manure? If not, my mistake. Still they have strengthened with the likes of Shackell, Bent, Chris Baird, Scott Carson, Ince and Weimann so they won't be a pushover.

That said, we are going to sneak past Derby by the odd goal in three. Derby has good players but there will only be one goal machine on the pitch.

Andrew Madley will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship opener against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

The West Yorkshire based official, who has been working in the professional game since 2011, oversaw two Bolton games last season – 1-0 reverses at Wolves and Middlesbrough respectively.

In 36 games last term, Madley dished out 105 yellow cards but brandished just two reds throughout the entire campaign.

Scott Oldham and Christopher Akers will run the line, while Ross Joyce is the fourth official.

Neil Lennon eyeing up positive start against Derby

Neil Lennon has called on Wanderers to start positively against Derby County in their Sky Bet Championship season opener on Saturday.

Slow-starters in recent seasons, Bolton face a tough start this year with a trip to Play-Off Final runners-up Middlesbrough to follow their clash against the Rams in gameweek two.

And while Lennon is aware of the task ahead that faces his side, the Northern Irishman believes now is the perfect time to face the pre-season promotion favourites.

“There’s been too much doom and gloom around the place for my liking,” he said. “Hopefully we can hit the ground running.

“It’s important that we get off to a half-decent start because the last couple of years we haven’t and you end up chasing you tail a little bit.

“We’ve got Derby and Middlesbrough, who are two of the favourites to go up, but we might as well play them now before they get into any sort of rhythm.”

Lennon continued: “I watched Derby last week and they were pretty impressive against Burton.

“They’re a big, strong team with experience, quality and strength in depth, which is what you need for this division, and Paul has a lot of experience working with Ancelotti.

“I wish him well for the season, but obviously not on the opening day.”

Lennon continued: “I think we will give most opposition a really good game this season.

“We’d like to win every game, but if that’s not the case then in every game we want the opposition to come off the pitch thinking “That was tough”.

“I have an idea of what my team is going to be on Saturday and how I want them to play. We’ll see what Saturday brings.”
