In fairness Hipster isn't far off, the fan base isn't great at the moment. Not many clubs our size with similar issues - Blackburn or Birmingham for instance - are any better though it's a reflection of the teams performances in many ways.
Hard to measure how unrealistic the fans are, yes a large portion are clueless but that's probably true for most teams?

The atmosphere at the home game against Derby was good, the best I had experienced for a while at the Macron.
