Two shite teams live on sky, no Rhodes for them, my guess a piss poor crowd, and ultimately piss poor game.

Two desperate teams trying to get some momentum but Rovers have home advantage and we can't find our shooting boots so I think they're slight favourites.

I predicted us to lose all our away games..... but for some reason I have a good feeling about this one.  0-2 for us.

This will be a really good test where we are. Blackburn are shit and like us are towards the bottom end of the table. Win it and there is hope for this season. Draw or lose and unless there is some magical transformation we will be staring at yet another lost season scrapping around the basement of the championship and relegation.

C'mon Lenny! Now is the time you show us and the football world that you are as good as you say you are!

That's a bit unfair Jah. To my knowledge Lennon has never bigged himself up in the media. It's the hacks and pundits that have said good things about him.

He has still a lot to prove as far as I'm concerned - and I think he knows that himself.

Ref watch: Paul Tierney to oversee Blackburn derby clash

Paul Tierney will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Friday night.

The Lancashire-based official has history in this fixture, having ruled over both the Whites' 4-0 victory against Rovers at Macron Stadium in March 2014, and Blackburn’s 1-0 win at Ewood last season little over 12 months later.

Last season Tierney handed out 134 yellow cards and eight red cards from 37 matches, while this year he has dished out 15 cautions from his five outings so far.

Richard Wigglesworth and Steven Meredith will run the line, while Scott Duncan is the fourth official.

Preview: Blackburn Rovers v Bolton

SETTING THE SCENE
Bolton Wanderers travel to Ewood Park on Friday night as they take on Blackburn Rovers in their first derby of the season.

Having scored their first goal of the campaign against Nottingham Forest last time out, Neil Lennon’s side will be keen to claim their first victory heading into the September international break.

Host Blackburn will also be in search of their maiden win of the season having drawn two and lost two of their four Sky Bet Championship fixtures so far.

TEAM NEWS
Neil Lennon reported no new injury problems ahead of Friday night’s derby clash with Blackburn Rovers.

The manager revealed Derik Osede (ankle) and Liam Trotter (hamstring) have returned to training but will not be available until after the September international break.

Darren Pratley (ankle) and David Wheater (calf) are also on course to return next month, while Max Clayton (knee) remains out as he continues with his rehabilitation.

LAST BLACKBURN ROVERS XI (v Brighton & Hove Albion, L1-0)
Raya, Marshall, Duffy, Hanley, Spurr, Lawrence (Kilgallon 83), Guthrie, Akpan, Conway, Koita (Barrow 69), Delfounseo.

ONE TO WATCH
A familiar face to Bolton Wanderers supporters having spent the 2007/08 season on loan at Macron Stadium, Danny Guthrie joined Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer this summer following a successful trial.

Having progressed through the Liverpool youth academy, the 28-year-old made seven appearances during his time at Anfield before enjoying loan stints with both Southampton and Bolton, prior to a permanent move to Newcastle United in July 2008.

Winning promotion to the Premier League as Championship title-winners with the club in 2010, Guthrie moved to newly-promoted Reading in 2012 – spending three years with the Royals before finishing last season on loan at Fulham.
