As for Davies, he has made a very good living from the club, but having been injured for most of his time here, we all think he is a daft prick for holding us up in the club's time of need.wanderlust wrote:It all sounded so good until you threw in the word "medical".Breadman wrote:I've been chatting to some Wendies and the they think 'Boro may still nick him after his medical at Hillsborough later this afternoon (provided he passes it) according to their version of Iles.
What concerns me is that by even suggesting he might go on a free sends out totally the wrong message and underlines the desperation of our situation.
It's all about degrees of f***edness.
Everyone knows that Mavies was rated and at one time we might have got several million for him.
But now we have to sell players just to keep the club going.
Offering to put him on a free just to get him off the books sends out the message that we are prepared to slash any price we are offering our players at.
We need every penny we can get for our players but nobody will take our price negotiation seriously after this.
