I'm not a Liverpool fan at all but how on earth Rodgers had not already been sacked twelve months ago is beyond me.

He wasted an absolute fortune when Suraez left on a load of shite, then did the same again at the start of this season.

Worst Premier manager since Coyle.

Apparently the decision to sack him was made before today's game.

He was a dead man walking.

Personally I thought he was overachieving, almost won the league and got them back into the champions league. Liverpool supporters need to realise they are no longer top team, city have replaced them

Top 6 should always be considered a good season for them now

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

You can't expect to keep your job after spending what he has and win fuck all. Terrible management.

With Suarez, Sterling and Sturridge a lot of managers could have won the league a couple of seasons back. Was some achievement not to win it.

Have to feel sorry being lumbered with Balotelli and a couple of the other signings that were foisted upon him.

Chelsea are just going through a bad patch. Mourinho will sort it out sooner or later and they'll go on a long unbeaten run.

It just shows how much crap gets spoken in the media and from fans about tactics. This guy was made out as some kinda genius the season before last, now suddenly he's tactically clueless. As others have said, he lost Suarez and Sterling, Sturridge is always injured now. That's all there is to it in my opinion.

It's been an interesting season so far in the Prem.

It's hilarious how shit Mourinho is doing, although I'm sure he'll piss off long before it seriously damages his reputation.
It's also nice to see Villa struggling under that arrogant arsehole Sherwood.
And speaking of how much Rodgers spent, I don't think United look any better this season despite Van Gaal spending a fortune...again.

Victim of his own success after finishing second then losing Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge and Gerrard, but money hasn't been spent well and he must accept a portion of the blame for.

Liverpool have an issue when it comes to recruitment though and I think it's similar to Spurs. Both have ambitions of breaking into the top 4 so are competing in a similar transfer space to teams with bigger budgets and more appeal - City, United, Chelsea and European teams, so they end up getting gazumped by them for the targets they really want (recent examples, Willian, Hazard, Schneiderlin) and are left with the 'dregs' ie Benteke or Lallana.

I feel for Rodgers as I actually think he did a good job at a very difficult place, and made them exciting to watch again. But if Liverpool go and get Klopp then it's a no brainer.
