Zach Clough has been shortlisted for a top honour at the MBNA North West Football Awards.
The Wanderers striker is among six players up for the Rising Star prize, to be decided at a gala evening at Lancashire County Cricket Club’s The Point, on November 16.
Clough joins Manchester City’s Angelino, Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe, Preston North End’s Daniel Johnson, Chester’s Ben Heneghan and Accrington Stanley’s Josh Windass in the category.
Ex-Wanderer Tim Ream has also made the cut for the senior prize in the Championship, joining Blackburn Rovers’ Marcus Olsson and Wigan’s Jason Pearce.
Bury’s Nathan Cameron has been shortlisted for the League Two award after helping the Shakers to promotion last season.
