we do need a striker but the service from midfield is pitiful. Dobbie was anonymous yesterday and Mavies needs to be playing behind the front 2.

Totally agree and as soon as you push midfield on to provide service and join in the attack, the back gets exposed and we concede. It's about striking the right balance, not just looking at the bleeding obvious lack of goals in the team.Norpig wrote:we do need a striker but the service from midfield is pitiful. If the the strikers were missing 8 to 10 decent chances a game, I'd agree we need a finisher. But that's not a problem we have is it?
We need to control midfield and then we can worry about the other stuff IMO.

How many have actually visited the Macron this season who actually post?
I get one knobhead every morning giving me shit about the Wanderers and he jumped off the bus a couple of seasons ago. Can't quite see how anybody can say we and us if they don't actually put £20 through the gate half a dozen times a season. You might as well sit on your couch with an Eastenders t-shirt on!!!

When you operate with a lone striker as immobile as Madine and Ameobi are it's not easy for the midfielders to create chances, every player needs runs and movement in front of them and we have next to none.
Yes there are problems throughout the team but a striker would make a huge difference right now, it would lift the whole team and give us at least some form of focus for attacks.

Lennon's striker signings since he came - Eidur, Heskey, Madine, Ameobi.
Eidur did ok, but the rest have been terrible. Would you trust him to actually find a decent striker even if he had money?

ST and Lifeline since it started 80ish. Anybody who doesn't pass through the gates are only fans in my opinion, not supporters.
Had a trip to Skipton this weekend but they still had my money and my mates daughter got a freebie!
Apparently it was a real arse gripper I missed?

They are/have all been a yard off the pace, but that's why they are for sale in Poundland, except Dobbie who turned up in town at the YM!

And I bought a calendar. Filled with pictures of our top players.
I'm ignoring Nat's comment. I have to buy that sort of stuff on amazon.
