I remember this was when he got into lift music - a style I don't especially like - when he left Mahavishnu in the mid 70s? But he did drum up a storm on the same album I think.

Heather is off Cobham's second album. The one you are probably thinking of WL is his first, Spectrum, which I think most people would agree is his best.

Good example of what I mean about the edges of jazz being blurry. Crimson/prog rock in general overlaps with Jazz and folk and blues...

I honestly didn't realise so many Bolton fans were also devotees of Jazz.

I mean, I've sat near some right boring bastards at the match over the years but they weren't "Jazz fan" boring......
