Sorry aaron I thought it was total crap. Too many coincidences, too many unbelievable things happening (what was the white guy doing there? why would anyone give the gun back to Alfie?) and hackneyed writing. Some great acting, particularly by Alfie, couldn't redeem it for me. Definitely not worth looking for the 3 previous parts.

Thanks for the heads up, the lad who played Alfie is a cracking young actor but I see what you mean about the white guy being there, it did throw me a bit to be honest.

Hipster, I have now decided I'm enjoying 'Homeland' so thanks for that one. I watched last weeks episode last night and was glued to the screen. Looking forward to tonight.

Me too.

What did you think of Dexter? It seemed a bit formulaic, almost a pastiche of itself, but I will keep watching. LaGuerta seems to be getting darker (metaphorically) with every series.

I've never watched Dexter but it's very high up on this list so I quite fancy it.

You know what, I love Dexter. It's never been action packed, but I just love everything about it. The characters are brilliant - Deb, Angel and the little bald bloke are all amazing. It even looks great...I've never been to Miami but Dexter makes me want to go.

I bought the West Wing a few months back and plan to watch it when I've got through The Wire.

Anybody got any opinions on the West Wing?

It's one of those shows I always mean to buy on DVD, then I choose something else. Let me know how good it is.

Everybody says its great but I am slowly working my way through the first series. It doesn't really grab me but my son assures me the first series is the weakest. It certainly is nowhere compared to The Wire my alltime favourite TV series.

I will be interested to hear what you think of West Wing though.

I'll make sure I write something when I've finally got round to watching it.

I bought my dad The Sopranos for Christmas the year before last and it took over my life for about three months, and I've since become obsessed with drama series like it.

I heard The Wire was phenomenal and made in the same sort of way as The Sopranos, so I got the full set for Christmas, which I'm currently hooked on.

I paid £43 including postage for the complete West Wing collection, brand new on Amazon, and there's 44 discs in there so not bad at all.

Dexter is brilliant. His sister Debs has the foulest mouth I have heard on TV apart from maybe the Sopranos, which was another fantastic series. It's suprising that they get away with the amount of nudity and language on that show (Dexter). I guess because it was on a pay channel (showtime) as opposed to a network channel in the US. There are two more series planned and then that's it apparently. Natasha, the little bald bloke I assume you mean is Masuka ? He is the extremely perverted Forensics guy.

Watched the final episode of the 3rd series of Spartacus last night and will miss it.
The gore fest was excellent as usual, my particular favourites being the decapitation of Asher where it took the woman 3 strikes to get the head off (followed by her boyfriend promising to give her decapitation lessons) Lucretia cutting out the snake womans baby and throwing herself off the cliff with it as a final act of revenge, and Spartacus ramming his sword down Glabba's throat giving him a new mouth in the process. Plus all out war of course.
Being the final episode, there wasn't the usual diet of shagging, slave abuse and general cruelty etc but the treachery, double-crossing, revenge, murder and come-uppances were in overdrive.
Great entertainment and the Apprentice has much to learn from it.

Have had 'The Voice' on in the background for the last half hour or so that my nephew recorded earlier. What an absolute load of shite - every single contestant has had a sob story. I might throw up.

Just watched the latest episode of CSI. It was a definite "jumping the shark" episode. Totally ridiculous in every way possible and the last time I shall bother watching CSI.
