LA Confidential on tonight on ITV4.
A brilliant film based on the equally brilliant James Ellroy novel.

Anybody watch Ben Earl?
Not a patch on Dynamo. He clearly uses stooges, the most blatant of them being "Susan" in the scene with the car and the two other presumably genuine audience members.

"Banshee" starts Monday night on Sky Atlantic. Hipster, I require your verdict on whether it's worth watching.

I've not seen that tbh but it didn't get good reviews in America.
I did watch the pilot of "rectify" which i quite enjoyed though.

I'm new to Game of Thrones. I got Seasons 1 & 2 last week and I devoured Season 1 in two days. Absolutely fantastic. Visually magnificent (the first time I saw 'The Wall', for example). I'm particularly impressed by Peter Dinklage's acting and Emilia Clarke's hot bod.
On to Season 2!
On to Season 2!

I watched Inception with Leonardo Di Caprio last night, personally I thought it was very well written but i'm not sure how the writer began thinking up the story.
It's also pretty much a Dark Knight Rises reunion, about 6 people in the film are also in Inception.
Well worth a watch if you can stick with it.

Inception is best seen on DVD - so you can stop it from time to time and say "What the f...?"

- If that's the case I would have paused if every 5 minutes.

Di Caprio likes those kind of movies, I think.Shutter Island and to a lesser extent The Departed are good examples of messing with the viewers' head.

Aye, I was more keen on Shutter island than The Departed.
To be honest when Inception started and he was face down in a beach I thought it was a follow up to Titanic, getting washed up on a beach from the aftermath.

It's been a few years since I saw it but yes, can't say if i enjoyed it or not as I can't remember that much about him in it.

That's another movie that really needs to be seen on DVD - so many subtleties that pass you by the first time - Willis always wears the same clothes he had on the day he died, red items when there are dead people around, the change in temperature. Great movie.

Unbelievably I also watched Inception this weekend. It's a long film and I just couldn't get my head round it.

I was told before I bought it that if you watch it twice it becomes easier to understand, can't see it myself.
A good but very complex film.
